Day 25: 10/10/2010
Green Valley
Grandpa made breakfast again, but this time I managed to get up in time to help a bit. Better than before! After that Grandpa and I went to work out, him on the treadmill and me in the pool. It was really fun to swim a bit, though I didn't get many laps in because I was constantly stopping to talk with this fabulous lady Sophie who was in the pool.
She was tons of fun, she's been in Green Valley for 21 years now! Originally, and up until about five years ago, she was a volunteer and club member of... Just about everything. Literally :p But she slowly "retired" from each one, near the last was the hiking club! I said she was allowed to at that point and she said thought she'd earned :p So true! I think she said she's 82, or as Grandpa would say, "just a young one."
They wanted to take me out to lunch, so we went to a nearby diner after Grandma and Grandpa showed me where the Ford dealership was so I could make it for my appointment the next morning. The diner had great sunday speials, very tasty. Grandpa got lamb and Grandma and I got roast turkey. It was just like thanksgiving! Very, very good.
I did a bit more weeding outside, and watched a bit of sports in the TV room with them, and then went for another walk once it got darkish outside. It goes from darkish to dark pretty quick here! I took a few more photos outside with the tripod, it's very pretty at night :-) And bearable temperatures, lol. When I got back inside, all three of us headed for bed.
